I work from photographs. If you would like to submit your own photos as reference material, there are several things to keep in mind. I prefer close up shots of the head and shoulders that take up nearly the entire frame. The light source should be coming from the side or front, not behind the subject. I need to see their eye color and the photos should give me insight into their character and personality. I need several shots taken in varying light and poses. Take somewhere in the neighborhood of 15 to 20 photos. You can submit them in digital form or prints. Please do not submit photos that are out of focus or blurry.
